Take Highway 11 and drive towards Volcano and then to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (HAVO).  The Park entrance is between Mile Post 28 and 29 (about 500 yards past Mile Post 28) If you are coming from Hilo you will see mile post 28 shortly after you pass the HAVO sign on the right side of the road, the Park entrance is on the left side and you will see a left turn lane leading to it.  Turn into the Park and drive slowly and come to a complete stop at the entrance, if no one is manning or womanning the gate, proceed on through.

Keep going on the road you are on past the Park Visitor Center on the right, past the Volcano House on the left (this is a 15 MPH area), you'll be going down hill still on the 15 MPH area when it opens up to a blistering 25 MPH speed zone, continue driving  past the Steam Vents turn off area on the left (about 1 mile into your journey) suddenly the speed limit will increase to a head spinning 35 MPH, keep driving until you see the large open area on the right with the large flag pole, picture below.

We meet by the admin building at the top of the circle, please park at the curb side of the large grass area.  Breakfast is available at the cafeteria.
